My Flash Fiction Story of 1000 Words “Breathe” Was Published Today

My flash fiction story of 1000 words “Breathe” was published today.

“Breathe” is one of those stories that just poured out of me. I sent it to dozens of magazines before Flash Fiction Online picked it up.

I loved this story and wanted it to succeed so bad, and I’m honored that it was published and made available for the world to see.

It’s a story, like many of my flash fiction stories, about an addict.

Though it takes place in the near future in a world slightly different than ours will be as global warming heats the planet, I think there will always be people like me — addicts who can’t stop fucking up their lives but who have a desperate desire to stop.

It doesn’t appear in the story, but his name is Anvil, and all he wants is redemption.
